Umgotts Studios will be hosting a major event at AnthroCon this year; however, it will not be in the con book or schedule -- it is going to be entirely unofficial and unsanctioned. It will be free (although I'm considering implementing a fundraiser element of some kind for the convention charity), there will be prizes, it will not conflict with any actual convention events, and it will enhance the convention experience in a completely novel way.
I am going to have to be a little tight-lipped on it at this point, as details are still being ironed out.
I suggest bringing a digital camera (especially one with video), video camera, and backpack to the con to have on you at all times. Additionally, start thinking of who you'll be attending the convention with that may be a reliable teammate.
And, no, this event isn't a screening, room party, act of sedition, or anything that violates the law or convention policy in any way. But it is going to be awesome, we're all really psyched for it, and it is going to make this AnthroCon a convention like no other...except, of course, if people really like this little experiment, in which case we'll prepare similar events for FAU and FurFright.
