Yesterday, i found a cellphone on the ground... it was perfectly fine and quite new...
soo... I gave it to the police...

HOLY GOD DAMNED FUCK, IF THIS DOES'NT MAKE ME A GOOD PERSON, I'LL EAT MYSELF!
i could have sold it for like... 1000 Norwegian Kroner ;_;
but since im so f-ing nice, i just gave it to the police...

am i a good person now?

    Pray tell what is so dumb about doing so? Is personal gain on such a minute level better than a feeling of altruistic pride and the knowledge that you have just saved someone from a severe inconvenience at best, to serious problems at worst?

    From a pragmatic point of view, not handing it over could have resulted in a few hundred bucks on a good day, whereas handing it over has a far greater fiscal potential if the owner happens to be grateful and well off, and saves them from losing contacts that they may never get back.

    Do people really place such a high value on $185 US that they think such an action is stupid? Three XBOX 360 games, or not being a prick?...
