The FAP Situation

FAP will remain online for another two weeks under current management, then transfer to new owner. There is one currently unknown group in the running to take ownership of the site. The MyFursona administration have confirmed that we are willing wholeheartedly to take control at any time.

And now for The FAP Situation Extra, exclusive to MyFursona!

Should we be the party taking control of Furry Art Pile then we would begin to integrate this site's users, submissions, blog entries, et al. will slowly be integrated into Furry Art Pile. We are doing this (as opposed to the other way round) because FAP has many of the systems that have been on MyFursona's to-do list for an age and a half, it contains the larger userbase and of course is just really damn pretty. Following this the MyFursona site may be disbanded, with many of our more unique features making their way into FAPs interface. Our future plans will also go mostly unchanged, with our planned features also making their way to the Pile.

Users who have accounts on both MyFursona and Furry Art Pile will be given the option to merge their accounts. Exact details are not available now, but we're going to do our darndest to make this process as easy as possible for you - the end user. We here at MyFursona hope to soon accept donations to help raise a fund for FAP, so we can build up some savings to help running costs (which, if you didn't know, is really bloody high in comparison to those for FAP.)

We will also be taking on extra staff and coders to cover Furry Art Pile's extensive update schedule.

To summarise:
~ FAP will remain online under current ownership for another two weeks.
~ At the end of this two weeks, ownership will be passed over to one of the interested parties.
~ If MyFursona is accepted, we will be merging the sites together over a period of many weeks or months.
~ Once this is complete, MyFursona will be disbanded. FAP may be rebranded, however this has not been confirmed.

And lastly NOTHING IS CONFIRMED!!

    Well if MyFursona does merge into FAP. I know that'd be one less site I'd have to visit, but I can see myself not using MyFursona or whatever it's going to be if you get FAP, cause I never really liked FAP in the first place.
