Poor Kittens....(sadness ahead)

Why?

Because of kittens! Poor orphaned kittens.....

Here's what happened. On friday August 15th, our eldest cat had four kittens. about a week later, our neighbors found her lying in their yard, only fifty yards from our house. She had been fighting with, or attacked by, another animal. She was very skinny, and not that strong as of late...

Anyway, the day after it happened, they were taken to the vet,because they hadn't eaten for more than 24 hours. The vet said they were actually pretty healthy, even under the circumstances. She showed us how to feed them by hand, and was even nice enough to only charge for the formula. So for the past few days, we've been trying to make things as normal for them as possible. They're eyes are already open, and they've started purring as well.

The feedings have become progressivle easier, as they seem to be acclimating to us. In the meantime, they're kept warm with a heating pad under a few layers of bedding. They keep warm, with being burned.

We have great hope for their survival, but they are still young. They eat well enough, and even fall asleep in my hands during. It's so horribly cute, I can't even describe....

So yeah, I just thought I'd let y'all know what I've been up to.

I'm 20, and I like to draw weapons. I'm just starting to attempt anatomy, so my more recent stuff won't be too great. I'm a weapons and armour geek/nerd/dork (pick one....or all).
