Whoo! First blog post! So, here's me:
Why did I choose the avatar I use today? What's the internal meaning behind him? Well, let's see...
First off, I'm a dragon. Mythical, intelligent, strong, mysterious. A creature to respect (if they were real). They often have magical and/or spiritual abilities and qualities. It fits who I am, really. I often feel like I have a strong presence, often quiet but my words mean something. It's as if though I want that kind of attention, to feel like I have an important say in situations, which often are logical, practical, and makes the most sense (in my mind, at least). I'm not a fluffy wussy dragon. I'm a dragon of regal power! And I like to be respected because of that presence, (in general).
Next, I'm golden. Gold symbolizes wealth, luck, royalty, high-status. Always valuable and wanted. Guess it symbolizes for me what I want out of life: wealth and to be wanted. To feel like the person who I ultimately am with (mateship-wise) values me for who I am, that I'm actually worth something to him. That I'm worth something in life. I want to do something important in life. What exactly, I'm not sure, but I want to be remembered after life and coveted during life by someone who will love me and that I want to love back just the same.
Finally, my powers come from the stars. Stars usually symbolize some of the above: mystery, power, high-status, with a hint of romanticism. People usually find the stars romantic to be under, their beauty in the sky surreal. They form constellations, representations of other things, which lead to more mystery and creativity, adding legends and myth to the mix. It's a part of my self-contained status: a sense of mystery and intrigue, with a need to be romantic and beautiful for others. Maybe it isn't perfect, but it's who I want to be. Also, people wish on stars. Tradition, yes, but has meaning as well. I like to believe that people depend on me, trust me, for things that they need in life. My caring personality, really. And I'd like to dream that I'm someone's wish come true when I finally meet that person who I want to be with.
So my avatar reflects who I am and who I want to be. My internal personality and traits, mixed with the physical traits that I wish I could have. It may also be a reflection on attracting some fur out there. Not sure on that part. But our avatars reflect who we are, who we want to be, and everything in-between. They become us, for they are us.
Some of these things may have been a stretch, or inaccurate, but hey, it's my thoughts. X3
