So yeah, i broke my hand three weeks ago. I didn't think it was broken for 2 weeks, then when i finally got -it xrayed because it wasnt getting better, turned out it was broken (5th metacarpal, right hand)
so now i literally cant do anything. I coulden't play volleyball for the last week of my senior season, i couldn't play in my high school band concert, i have my AP English test this Wednesday (3 essays, 120 minutes!), i can barely use the computer, i have to do basically everything one handed, so I can't play my computer games. I cant even shower without great difficulty, and not to mention I don't even have a real cast, i just have a splint, which is just this gel thing that hardens when they soak it in water, and they just put that on my arm and wrapped it in athletic wrap. Because of this, my splint likes to unravel when im sleeping...
Not to mention that I broke it in the stupdiest way, i punched a padded wall (the ones in gyms and stuff) and then dived on it wrong in volleyball. Both hurt like hell, and im not sure which one it was, most likely a combination of the two, but now i feel like a moron when everyone is asking how i broke it.

Yeah, it'd be wonderful if more bands did realize that money shouldn't be the end-all reason for making music, but I'm not about to hold my breath. It'll probably be a long time coming before occasional free releases from the bands and the musicians in the "mainstream" become commonplace.
Not that I wouldn't mind being proven wrong, mind you. ;-)
