    That was one reason I stuck with Google Talk-- because it was connected to your google account, and that's just one less account to juggle.
    Also, when my mate and I used Skype, we had to use an outdated version (and make sure we both had the same version or that wouldn't work either) or else we would get really bad voice quality. That might have just been a problem for us though. I do think the newer versions were bigger resource-hogs though.
    Google Talk also has a latency meter which is a godsend in my laggy dorms. That said, it still functions pretty well through laggy connections.
