On Highway Driving

So after a good break from having to regularly drive the freeway, I'm back on US 131 and the M6 in SW Michigan.

And for anyone who travels those roads know that they are a pain to drive for quite a few reasons.

1. You drive 70 MPH, you get run over by folks in SUVs and lifted trucks. I reguarly have to go 75-80 just so I can keep up with the flow of traffic.
2. The people on it. It seems that the bigger the vehicle behind you, the closer they will ride your ass. Seriously, I have had tiny little cars pass me with plenty of room, but when I am in the fast lane passing someone, I usually have some sort of guy in a Suburban or Escalade right on my rear bumper, refusing to pass me until he is good and ready to. (Read: Me moving into another lane for him.)
3. Night time. When I drive home and pull onto the M-6, the lane I have to be in has NO sort of markers on it, so I have to squint to make out where the yellow line curves so I don't plunge my car into the ditch.

But on the plus side, My car gets AWESOME gas mileage despite going at a regular 75-80+ MPH.
