I trudged my paws across the tropical beach with clear water and hot white sand. My bright orange tail drags though the sand and my black ears point back as I search for any sign of life. The ocean to my right and a jungle I dare not enter to my left in fear of what could be inside. I think back to all that has happened. I began to weep. I remember heading home on a small plane, looking forward to seeing my family, when the pilot passed out at the controls. It was just me and him in the plane. I don’t remember it very well. I can remember taking the controls and trying to land the plane near the island and I guess now, here I am.

My head aches from the trauma and I’m not sure if my arms broken or not but it might as well be. I’ve been wandering these beaches for a day now; I’ve walked around the entire island twice and still, no sight of anything. I’m beginning to wonder if I should take my chances in the jungle or tough it out on the beach. I sit down and begin to cry. I look up to the skies and scream as if I were trying to talk to God, “I’ll never see my kids, my wife, nobody. I’m going to die on this stupid island”.
